First, you need to create a publicly accessible folder on Google Drive. Log into your Google Drive account and create a new folder. Click on share icon and on screen click Change link next to Private – Only you can access.
In the next popup, you need to select Public on the web and click on the save button.
Your Google Drive folder is now open to view. Copy the folder ID from the link to share, because you will need this ID later.
In the next step, you will need to install and activate the plugin Google Drive Media Library. After activation, please enter the menu Media »Google Drive Media Library to configure plugins.
On the plugin’s settings page, you need to click on the Mapping Folder tab and paste the ID of the folder you copied earlier. Click the save button and the plugin will try to find the Google Drive folder.
Now you can upload files in your google drive share folder. Then To load files into the WordPres Media Library, you need to return to the menu Media »Google Drive Media Library and click on the Mapping files tab. Enter the name of the file you wish to link.
After you save the file, the plugin will start displaying the file in your WordPress Media Library. You can edit media, and insert it into your WordPress posts and pages. Files will still be served from Google’s content delivery network.
