Google introduced the ability to send email as an attachment (as attachment) in Gmail earlier this week. With this new implementation, users will be able to easily attach emails within emails without spamming the recipient’s inbox with a dozen follow-up or forward emails. If you don’t have Gmail yet, then you can read this guide → How to Create Email in Gmail with Computers and HP Smartphones.
So this is different from sending files in Gmail, but you can send multiple emails at once to be forwarded to recipients in the form of attachments. If previously you could only forward emails in Gmail one by one with a messy email content, now you can forward multiple emails at once and send them to recipients in the form of attachments.
“Sending an email as an attachment allows you to compose a summary email message to your recipient, and attach a series of support emails that recipients can immediately open in their email client.”, Wrote Google in his blog post.
How to Send Forward Emails as Attachments in Gmail
- Log into your Gmail account, create a new mail using the button “WriteOr “Compose” and select the email you wish to forward to send as an attachment or you can tick multiple emails at once.
- Drag and drop email or Drag email selected and place it in the Gmail compose area as you can see in the image below.
- The selected email will now appear as an attachment in the compose window, it looks the same as when you attach a file to an email. Or, if you are not familiar with drag and drop, you can check multiple emails and right-click select “Forward as attachment”, or click the three vertical dots icon at the top to bring up the “Forward as attachment” menu.
- If you are wondering how an email attached to the recipient’s email section will look like, take a look at the image below.
As usual, Google usually rolls out new features to users in stages. If you haven’t got this feature yet, don’t worry. It will be coming to your Gmail account in the coming weeks. But it looks like this feature already exists for Indonesian users as a whole.
